Come to Alaska
Alaska 20

Dansk/Dansh – English further down…

US pilots licens

Andet end flyvning
Der er rigtigt mange muligheder for eventyrlige oplevelser ud over flyvning, f.eks:
River rafting
Zip-lining
Tog med udsigtsvogne
Skydning (del af overlevelseskursus)
Tag familien med – rigeligt at opleve!

Overnatning
På Sea plane base – flere muligheder:
– The lodge.

Flying in Alaska is a unique adventure
Many places accessible only by seaplane or airplanes fitted with large bushwheels makes Alaska unique.
Glassy mountain lakes, rivers and remote cabins with stunning views and snow covered mountains, glaciers and sceneries with bears, moose, bald Eagles and more.
These beautiful places where you can fly requires knowledge and skills to being able to enjoy to the fullest – courses and training is essential and are by itself an adventure, challenging and exiting  while being a precondition for safely exploring this land of adventure.

Courses, training and trips
The basis are the courses: ‘ Sea plane rating’ and ‘Bush & mountain proficiency’, with add-on options available as well as more advanced ‘next-step‘ courses

US pilots licens
You may act as Pilot in comand of US registret airpanes (N-reg) by obtaining a US licens based on your EASA licens
You must – and we will help you:
1) Apply from home. It may tak up to 90 days (normally much less)
2) Make an administrative interview with an FAA officer in Alaska.
The nearest FAA office is 1 hrs. drive from our sea plane base.

Weather
A saying goes: If the weather in Alaska i bad, just wait 15 min and it will be nice again.
You will often find good weather with little wind and blue skies. Clouds, rain and poor weather does exist, but often not to a degree that we cannot fly atall that day. If we cant fly north, the we turn southbound instead.

Non-flying
Alaska is rich on other activities, just to mention a few:
River rafting
Zip-lining
Train with special cars for viewing
Shooting
Bring your family – plenty to experience

Accomodation
Several options on the sea plane base:
The lodge. Alsak-style wooden house with 4 rooms, dinner area and kitchen.
Two cabins are avaliable – well suitidn for the small family. Bring your spouse at no extra cost.

Food
It is possible to make own food – we normally do this for breakfast. For dinner the nearby town has 5-6 restaurants.
