What is Advanced UPRT?
The Advanced Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) is a mandatory EASA requirement according to FCL 745.A before your first type rating on specific aircraft classes. This practical training prepares you to prevent and recover from flight upsets - critical for aviation safety.
Course Content
- 2 flights of 1:30 hours each (block-to-block) in aerobatic-rated aircraft
- Comprehensive pre- and post-flight briefings
- Training in all attitude recoveries and unusual flight situations
- G-loads ranging from 2.5G to -1G as required by EASA
- Surprise and startling effect training with mitigation methods
Exercises Covered
- Steep turns up to 75° bank at varying speeds
- Slow flight at critical speeds including high bank angles
- Stalls in various configurations, including slip/skid stalls
- Nose-high (60°) and nose-low (30°) recoveries
- Bank angles exceeding 90° and inverted flight
- Spin recovery - both incipient and fully developed
Training Aircraft
- Super Decathlon – Ideal for all-attitude upset recovery training
- Extra 200 – High-performance aircraft with excellent maneuverability
Certification & Details
Upon successful completion, LenAir ApS will issue an official course certificate referencing FCL 745.A.
The course typically spans 2-3 days depending on weather and is available 7 days a week.
